Don Bosco is at the origin of a vast movement of people who work, in various ways, for the salvation of young people.
In addition to the Society of Saint Francis de Sales, he himself founded the Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (Salesian Sisters of Don Bosco) and the Association of Salesian Cooperators, who, living in the same spirit and in communion with one another, continue the mission begun by him, according to specific and diverse vocations. Together with these groups and others that came into being later, we form the Salesian Family.
By the will of our Founder, we have particular responsibilities in this Family: to maintain unity of spirit, to stimulate dialogue and fraternal collaboration for mutual enrichment and greater apostolic fruitfulness. The Salesian Family worldwide is made up of 32 religious institutes and associations (Click here to see the list).
