On Sunday 28 June 2026, the Salesian post-novitiate in Lomé celebrated the closing Mass for the 2025-2026 pastoral year, which also marked a farewell to the confreres leaving the community for another mission. A total of 18 Salesians, having completed their post-novitiate formation, from four Salesian provinces (ACC, AON, AOS and ATE) and nine countries, will now continue their formation through practical training in other communities. On this occasion, the community also expressed its deep gratitude to Father Larios Idohou, who is being called to a new mission in his home province (AON) after four years spent in the post-novitiate community as economer and formator. The community’s Director, Father Bernard Gaba-Dovi, thanked these confreres for the gift of their lives and their remarkable presence in the community during the past pastoral year. It was in a very festive atmosphere that the community bid farewell to these confreres.
