Cinkassé – Salesians in Togo reflect on their mission in the country
The Salesians of Don Bosco working in the six Salesian communities in Togo gathered from 28 to 30 December in Cinkassé (a town in northern Togo) for their annual meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to reflect on Salesian work and the future prospects for advancing the Salesian charism in this country. The topics discussed during this meeting were: health insurance for confreres, the status of the Don Bosco NGO in Togo, youth ministry, vocational ministry, prospects for opening new Salesian presences in the country, and plans for income-generating activities with a view to achieving financial self-sufficiency for the work in the country. During the meeting, the offices of the board of directors, the executive committee and the monitoring committee of the Don Bosco NGO were renewed.
A total of 25 confreres participated in this meeting, which was held in the wonderful atmosphere that characterises the Salesian spirit.
