From 13 to 14 May 2026, the Salesian post-novitiate in Lomé hosted the 2026 curatorium meeting to review the progress of the two novitiates and the post-novitiate within the AOS Province. The meeting was convened by Fr Alphonse Owoudou, General Councillor responsible for the Central and West Africa Region. It was attended by Fr Silvio Roggia, General Councillor for Formation, three Provincials (Fr Denis Soro – AOS, Fr Jésus Benoit Badji – AON and Fr Roland Mintsa – ATE) and two Provincial Vicars (Fr Sylvain Agbangba – AOS and Fr James Ailen – ANN). Those in charge of the post-novitiate community and the two novitiates, as well as some sector leaders, were also present. A total of 14 people took part in the annual meeting. Following the opening prayer led by the Provincial Vicar of the AOS, Fr Denis Soro, superior of the host Province, welcomed all the participants. He particularly welcomed the Regional Superior, Fr Alphonse Owoudou, who, due to the many responsibilities he has recently taken on within the Congregation, had been unable to attend previous meetings. He also extended his greetings to Fr Silvio Roggia, as well as to the Provincials of the AON and the ATE, and to the Vicar Provincial of the ANN, representing his Provincial. The discussions focused mainly on three points: the presentation of the annual reports from the three formation houses, the outlook for the 2026–2027 pastoral year, and the adoption of the statutes of the Lomé curatorium. “It is the first curatorium in the Congregation to have adopted its statutes,” Fr Alphonse remarked with delight. The meeting took place in a joyful atmosphere marked by the reunion.
